Our honey locust slab inventory was full of some very large slabs, and one customer decided to have us build a custom dining and coffee table out of one slab.

We mocked up a few ideas of how the slab could be cut, and decided on cutting off the knobby top to be used for a coffee table. The rest of the slab was cut in half length-wise and set up to have blue epoxy poured into the middle of the slab to create a "river."

The custom blue color was made slightly translucent, and we added some flecked color to create a swirl effect.

We also built custom table bases for the tops, adding a modern look.

The blue epoxy compliments the orange tones in the Honey Locust grain.
