Refinishing antique floors can be a tricky business, but in the end we were able to preserve this beautiful parquet white oak.
Our customers came to us from right down the road in the little borough of Emlenton. They had torn up carpeting and found a hardwood floor covered with more then 50 years of paint, finish, and dirt.
After an initial sand, we knew that this floor was going to be beautiful.
The customer agreed to have us use polyurethane as a finish. We decided to do this mainly because the floor was quite delicate after years of wear and it needed a thick coat as protection.
We are happy to say the floor will now be the focal point of this customer's entryway for many years to come.
