It all started at the Pittsburgh Home Show. These clients saw this Ash slab and immediately knew they wanted one transformed into their new dining room table.

After collaborating on the design, they chose a striking contrast: a solid black-painted iron base, custom black-painted 3-slat chairs with Ash seats, and a matching 7-foot-long bench.

We selected an Ash slab for the bench that featured a large natural void, allowing us to showcase a beautiful black epoxy inlay.

We utilized high-quality threaded inserts to attach the top to the base, allowing for easy disassembly and transport.

We also integrated a solid Ash post with chamfered edges to enhance both the stability and the cohesive aesthetic of the base.

The Ash chairs also match the table.

We finished this top with Pure (Clear) Rubio Hard Oil. This finish brings out the genuine color of the Ash wood, leaving a matte, leathery sheen. Because it is a natural, 0-VOC product, it's an excellent, eco-friendly choice for a family dining table.
