Walnut with Blue Epoxy is a stunning combination, especially in this bar set!
We selected a walnut slab that had a lot of figuring throughout.
After cutting the slab into sections , we placed them in the best spacing and poured the epoxy.
The 'river' effect was achieved using high-clarity deep-pour blue epoxy, designed to mimic the movement of water against the rich, dark grains of the Walnut. This technique creates a 'river bar top' that is as much a piece of art as it is a functional surface.
We then surfaced the entire section flat before cutting the circle shapes and hand-scooping the seats.
The customer requested a high gloss finish, and we achieved this look by first coating with epoxy and then spraying with high gloss lacquer.
The customer plans to use the bar in his booth at trade shows - the eye catching piece is sure to stop people as they walk by and help start conversations!
